After going across the border and through customs into Swaziland, we started to see kraals (African villages) like this along the highway. Most live in more normal housing, but there are a few primitive kraals left. The boy is running toward us in hopes of getting some candy or money before we drive on. Swaziland is a very beautiful mountainous green land. We will be going back in a couple of weeks (about a six hour drive from Durban) and hope to obtain more pictures of the countryside.
This week was a mission tour presided over by Elder Watson of the Seventy (second from the right). They had some free time Friday, so they invited some of the couple missionaries and we all went to uShaka Marine World near downtown Durban on the Beach. We had lunch at the Moyo restaurant. Before serving our meal, they would bring around a pitcher of hot water, a bowl and a towel and pour water over our hands for each of us to wash. We had fish and steak dinners and both of our meals together ran about R180 (about $18).
Before we ate they painted a floral design on each of the ladies arms, similar to the design on the artist's cheek. To have your cheek painted was an option. No extra cost, just part of the meal.

Looks like a very beautiful area. Does the painting on your arm mean something? Sandy you look like your right at home there. It is wonderful to get your updates, keep up the great work your doing.
